This is an unofficial and experimental Flatpak build based on Android Translation Layer. It is not assembled by TeamNewPipe, and it is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by TeamNewPipe. NewPipe is a privacy-preserving YouTube frontend. NewPipe does not use any Google framework libraries, or the YouTube API. It only parses the website in order to gain the information it needs. Therefore this app can be used on devices without Google Services installed. Also, you don't need a YouTube account to use NewPipe, and it's FLOSS.

This release fixes issues that were caused by YouTube enforcing its SABR protocol, except for videos made for kids due to a limitation of the workaround. Most notable were missing video resolutions, no separate audio stream available and the sole availability of MP4 360p stream with audio. This workaround is a community effort. This release is shipped with NewPipe Extractor v0.26.3 which contains the mentioned workaround as well as a few other fixes, including no videos extracted on YouTube playlists and Bandcamp search returning no results.
