Batch mode now shows how much space you will save before converting and a visual summary when it finishes, on top of the much better video migration from 2.5.0.
- New: batch mode shows an estimate of the space you will save before converting, updated as you change presets
- New: when a batch finishes, a results screen shows the space saved in a chart, per file type, with an Accept button to start over
- New: batch files are shown as a folder tree, and each folder or file can use its own preset
- New: choose where to save converted videos from a download selector
- Fixed: Pro licenses issued from the Klia payment page are now recognized correctly
- New: videos recorded in portrait or rotated on the phone now convert with the correct orientation
- New: the original recording date is preserved in the converted video and its file date
- New: video conversion now also accepts MKV, WebM, M4V, 3GP, MPG/MPEG, FLV, and VOB as input formats
- New: deinterlacing for old camcorder and TV footage, with Auto, On, and Off modes
- New: Cancel button for single-file and batch conversions — stopping leaves no partial file behind
- New: HDR videos (such as iPhone HLG/PQ) can be converted to standard SDR with natural-looking tones, or kept in 10-bit HDR
- New: videos with several audio tracks keep the best one by default, or all of them with their language labels
- Anamorphic and non-square-pixel videos (such as DV) now play with the correct aspect ratio
- Colour information (primaries, transfer, range) is now tagged in the converted video so colours match the original
- New video settings in the bottom bar: Deinterlace, HDR, and Audio tracks
- Batch conversion skips files already converted by Klia Kompress (.av1.webm)
