Printing that keeps text as text, a deeper form designer, and pictures that can be resized and replaced:
- Printing keeps text as text. Every page on its way to a printer, and every Save Flattened, was rendered as a 300 DPI photograph. The page is now printed as it was drawn with your annotations added, so text stays sharp at any size, a long document is ready in seconds, and a flattened copy still has selectable text.
- The form designer makes radio buttons and signature fields alongside text fields, checkboxes and dropdowns. Every field can be required or read-only and given a place in the tab order; text fields can take a maximum length and a number or date format that other readers enforce.
- The object tool resizes shapes and pictures by their corners, proportions kept unless you hold Shift, and Replace picture… swaps a picture for any image file in the same place and box.
- Licence problems say what they are, in your language: a key not pasted in full, an expired one, or a computer on which no key can be checked at all — a fault in indiPDF rather than your key, previously reported as an invalid signature.
- Printing a file edited and saved in indiPDF no longer prints every word twice. The page was rendered with the standard copy of each annotation and indiPDF's own copy was then drawn over it.
- Moving a picture with the object tool moves it the right distance. A picture placed in the usual way moved by its own width for every unit dragged, and Duplicate put the copy far off the page.
- Objects are easier to get hold of in the object tool: a picture or a piece of text is picked up anywhere inside it rather than only by its exact edge, and anything selected can be dragged from anywhere inside it.
- After moving or resizing an object with the object tool the page stays workable: its elements are read again straight away rather than only when the tool is chosen afresh, and the object just moved stays selected.
- Fields unlocked with Edit existing form fields stay unlocked when you scroll away and back, and deleting one in the designer removes it from the saved document.
