The biggest release since launch:
- True redaction: Apply Redactions permanently removes the covered text and images from the file — nothing can be copied or recovered. Saving warns about unapplied marks.
- Certificate-based digital signatures: sign with a PKCS#12 (.p12/.pfx) certificate, optionally with a visible stamp, and verify existing signatures including modification detection.
- Form designer: place text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns that become real fillable form fields on save.
- New blank documents: build a document or form from scratch on an empty page (Letter/Legal/A4/A5/Tabloid); Add Pages can append blank pages.
- Bookmarks and outline panel: view, navigate, and edit the document outline; written into the PDF for any reader.
- Export to Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx), rebuilding rows and columns from the page layout.
- Document compare: side-by-side pages with changed regions highlighted and a text-change list.
- Bates numbering with prefix, suffix, padding, position, and alignment.
- Searchable scanned PDFs: OCR's new default adds an invisible text layer while keeping the scan pixel-identical.
- Fixed dialogs closing when a text-selection drag ends outside the dialog or window.
