The Doomsday Engine is a portable version of the classic first person
 shooters DOOM, Heretic, and Hexen. It lets you enjoy the original games
 using modern technology, including high-resolution OpenGL graphics, 3D
 models, and dynamic lighting effects.
 
 
 Data files from the original games are not included; you must acquire
 a copy of the original games from id Software and/or Raven Software.
 You may also use free alternatives such as https://freedoom.github.io/.

Patch release that addresses issues found in version 2.3.
 <ul>
 <li>Incorrect positioning of sky textures in Heretic and Hexen.</li>
 <li>Alignment of floor/ceiling textures whose size is not 64×64.</li>
 </ul>

This version improves support for vanilla DOOM render hacks and adds more script bindings to manipulate things in the map. In Heretic, ambient sound sequences are now customizable.
 Bug fixes:
 <ul>
 <li>Color adjustments only affect the game view.</li>
 <li>Bullet trajectories when looking up/down.</li>
 <li>Heretic Phoenix Rod effect was too bright.</li>
 <li>Targa images with 8-bit colors or run-length encoding.</li>
 <li>FPS limiter was only available when a game was loaded.</li>
 </ul>

 <li>Some 3D models are only partially visible.</li>
 <li>"cubeshot" console command did not render all sides of the cube.</li>
 <li>More consistent HUD 3D weapon model positioning.</li>

It offers modern conveniences familiar from web browsers, such as smooth scrolling, inline image viewing, multiple tabs, visual themes, Unicode fonts, bookmarks, history, and page outlines.Like the Gemini protocol, Lagrange has been designed with minimalism in mind. It depends on a small number of essential libraries. It is written in C and uses SDL for hardware-accelerated graphics. OpenSSL is used for secure communications.
