New Animation tab: turn animated GIFs into much smaller animated WebP or AVIF files, or
shrink the GIF itself — also available in batch mode.
- New: Animation tab to convert animated GIF, WebP, and APNG files to animated WebP, animated
AVIF, or an optimized GIF
- New: animated WebP keeps its transparency; animated AVIF keeps it too, through a separate
alpha track
- New: lossless mode for animated WebP, plus quality, frame-rate cap (30, 24, 15, or 10
fps), and scale (100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%) settings
- New: smaller GIFs — only the part of each frame that changes is stored, with a quality
slider that controls how many colours are merged
- New: before/after preview with the final size, frame count, and duration, saved presets,
and a Cancel button
- New: batch mode now recognizes animated GIF, WebP, PNG, and AVIF files and converts them
as animations, with their own preset, savings estimate, and results
- Fixed: batch mode no longer turns animated images into a single still frame; animations
are never flattened by the photo converter
- Animated AVIF files loop forever, like the original GIF
