Axis reversal in device profiles, a FoxAlien Vasto profile,
a park position after homing, a cleanup button for unused
G-code dialects, safer Windows upgrades, and an arrow-shaped
work-origin marker
New Features:
- Machine: device profiles gain reverse X/Y/Z axis
switches, so they can ship machines whose controller reports
negative machine coordinates (e.g. Grbl controllers where
machine zero sits at the corner opposite the homing
switches). The settings are wired into the profile review,
machine export and machine creation (#613)
- Devices: a built-in profile for the FoxAlien Vasto
(desktop CNC router, 400 x 400 mm, Grbl 1.1h, typically
fitted with the FoxAlien 40W diode module). The controller
reports negative machine coordinates, so the profile ships
origin top-right with both axes reversed (#615)
- Machine: a park position drives the head to a
configurable machine coordinate after homing all axes, for
machines whose homing pull-off parks the head past the
machine origin, outside the soft limit range. The move uses
the dialect's Move To Park command, which the grbl dialect
flavors and all built-in Grbl profiles ship; the position is
set on the Advanced settings page, and unset means no move
(#619)
- Machine: a cleanup button in the G-code dialect list
header deletes all custom dialects that no machine
references, after a confirmation dialog lists the affected
dialects (#632)
Changes:
- Machine: the reverse-axis setting subtitle states the
actual semantics, machine coordinates count down from the
origin, instead of the vague "Makes coordinate values
negative" (#613)
Bug Fixes:
- Canvas: the green work-origin marker is drawn as arrows
above the extent frame and no-go zones, so it stays visible
when the work origin sits on the frame corner; the
arrowheads keep a fixed device-space size that no longer
scales with zoom (#625)
- Windows: upgrading no longer deletes the previous
installation before checking the deletion succeeded. The
installer makes sure no instance is running, moves the
previous installation aside with a rename, and renames it
back if writing the new files fails, so a locked file can no
longer leave the old version half-deleted and unusable
(#627)
- Windows: the uninstaller no longer deletes whole
file-extension registry keys shared with other applications
(.png, .bmp, .jpeg, .jpg, .svg, .svgz, .dxf), discarding
associations owned by other software; it removes only the
Rayforge ProgID keys and restores the default association it
replaced (#627)
- Windows: shared file types are registered via
OpenWithProgids, which adds Rayforge to the "Open with"
menu, instead of being claimed as the default;
Rayforge-owned formats (.ryp, .rfs, .rd) keep their default
registration (#627)
- Devices: the Creality Falcon A1 is declared with both
axes reversed, because it homes to the maximum end of both
axes and its machine coordinates count down from the park
corner; jogs, soft limit clamping and G-code generation stay
inside the reachable range again. Existing Falcon A1
machines pick the change up through the profile review
flow, and the wizard now asks which profile matches instead
of silently adopting the Falcon 2 Pro 22W, which shares the
A1's USB id (#619)
- Devices: the Falcon A1 profile parks the head at the
machine origin after homing, so the head lands inside the
soft-limit range and the first jog after homing is no longer
rejected with error:15 (#619)
- UI: the raster Line Spacing field's up/down arrows step
in 0.1 mm increments instead of a full millimeter, so finer
values are reachable; other fields keep their step of 1
(#629)
The device docs describe the FoxAlien Vasto's confirmed
coordinate layout: homing drives to the bottom-left corner
while the controller reports negative machine positions, so
machine zero sits at the opposite corner. The projector-mode
docs and the main-window screenshots show the arrow-shaped
work-origin marker instead of a crosshair
